Job Objective
The role is responsible to support the planning, operationalization and effective and timely deployment of marketing communication initiatives by leading a team of marketing professionals for the development, upkeep and oversight of marketing operations for enhancement of the businesses ensuring seamless reach to the customers furthering the organization’s agenda
Responsibilities
- Identify strategic initiatives for the marketing communications sub-function and collaborate with other teams to develop the overall strategic initiatives for the function aligned to the organization Strategy
- Drive the strategic initiatives for the sub-function. Monitor performance against the set KPIs
- Prepare and monitor adherence to the budget for the sub-function. Analyse deviations and take corrective course of action
- Strive to continually optimise the marketing cost as per strategic imperatives
- Derive implications from the marketing plan and prepare and monitor initiatives for timely achievement of marketing communication strategy
- Prepare and monitor deployment of detailed plans for marketing communications as per business strategy
- Oversee the translation of marketing brief from business and into a creative brief (including review of brief)
- Review and manage campaign budget and take necessary action for any deviations
- Ensure the timely development of the creative Concept Proposal (in-house or out-sourced)
- Develop and continually monitor the Media Plan
- Review and analyse reports on campaign performance and continually strive to improve the same
- Lead the creation of content Plan (including digital content, TVC, advertisement, copywriting, videos etc.) and oversee the adherence to the content creation budget
- Monitor the development of Creative Proposal (in-house/outsourced)
- Manage Launch (logistics, coordination, execution, meeting deadlines) and ensure timely roll-out of campaigns and events
- Oversee the planning and management annual contracts with social media partners (Google, Linkedin etc.)
- Ensure seamless management of logistics, contracting, payments
- Monitor adherence to procedures and controls at each Efficiency and Information process, such that all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost effective service to internal customers
- Identify continuous improvement measures for policies, processes, systems / structural programs and procedures covering all individual Functional activities
- Validate information provided to address employee queries related to functional area
- Actively provide required information to internal and external auditors within stipulated timelines. Coordinate with and resolve any audit related issues raised
- Serve as a subject matter expert in own work area / sub-function / function and provide guidance to team / peers and support in the achievement of operational targets
- Undertake initiatives to improve processes in assigned area of work
- Guide team / peers in meeting delivery timelines and performance expectations
- Ensure that team / peers adhere to company policies and legal regulations
- Identify training needs and nominate team members for training programs
- Ensure timely completion of PMR process for self and the team
- Continuously share the knowledge and understanding of the telecom industry and business trends
- Ensure active participation in employee engagement surveys
- Motivate and build a healthy work environment within the team. Provide support in resolving work related / other concerns in an effective manner
Qualifications
Profile 1
- Master’s degree in Business/Sales and Marketing or Media communications from an internationally recognized University.
- 5-7 years of Sales and Marketing experience, including
- >2 years of experience in marketing communications would be preferred
- Membership of a relevant, and internationally recognized, professionally body
Profile 2
- Bachelor’s degree in Business/Sales and Marketing or Media communications from an internationally recognized University.
- 6-8 years of Sales and Marketing experience, with a substantial proportion gained in a telecommunications business environment.
- >3 years of experience in marketing communications would be preferred
- Membership of a relevant, and internationally recognized, professionally body
