Job Objective
The role is responsible for supporting the Directors on researching and reporting on prospective investment targets, studying how investment is to perform and how sustainable it is, discuss investment opportunity in collaboration with the Mergers and Acquisition team. Moreover, the person will be tasked with supporting the implementation of overall departmental strategy from an operational perspective, supporting processes and projects.
Responsibilities
Startegic
• Support creation of financial models and assist in strategic initiatives and critical decisions.
• Collecting, verifying and analyzing financial information with the objective of building financial models using historical data and providing forecasts based on various industry-related operating metrics.
Operational
• Assist Directors of Digital Growth Strategy in strategy implementation
• Conduct Market analysis based on publicly available material and reports, primary sources & present to senior management
• Evaluate performance of digital investments & discuss with management deviations from targets and key operational challenges.
• Identifying the key risks, recommending actions for mitigation of those risks.
• Support definition of internal processes and procedures of newly created ventures, including relation with regulators where applicable
• Ensure proper connection with Batelco governance and internal team to start up such ventures (e.g. support internal services from Batelco to ventures)
• Prepare the presentation packs for the Board / EXCO and Bahrain Leadership team within the target timelines
People
• Ensure timely completion of PMR process for self
• Continuously share the knowledge and understanding of business trends
• Ensure optimum resource availability and provide recommendations on effective resource deployment (manpower, tools and equipment etc.)
• Ensure active participation in employee engagement surveys
• Motivate and build a healthy work environment within the team. Provide support in resolving work related / other concerns in an effective manner
Skills Description
Profile 1
• MBA in Business Management, Economics or related field. • 5+ years, ideally with significant exposure to Banks - Financial Services and/or e-government and/or eCommerce companies
• Experience with market analysis and evaluation
• Exposure to project implementation and process excellence
• Strong analytical skills and ability to highlight current or potential issues.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build strong personal relationships and credibility at all levels.
• Strong knowledge of telecommunication industry.
• Expertise with MS-Windows, Excel, Power Point.
• Fluent in oral and written English, Arabic is a plus
Profile 2
• BSc in Business Management, Economics or related field.
