Job Description
Job Objective
Lead multiple large and complex projects by planning and monitoring the execution of the overall Project Plan and driving coordination between internal teams, external stakeholders, and client.
Ensure successful completion of the Projects within requisite timelines, budget and as per desired quality standards.
Responsibilities
Financial
• Monitor adherence to the Projects budget and take corrective action in case of any deviations.
Operational
• Monitor end-to-end project implementation including pre-install, alpha/ beta deployment, full deployment and post deployment evaluation
• Liaise with Enterprise Sales, Presales and Delivery team to understand Project scope and prepare Project Charter
• Prepare detailed Project Plan that defines Project tasks, activities, milestones & timelines
• Plan the allocation of various resources: manpower, tools, equipment, budget etc. in accordance with the Project plan
• Coordinate with Client to finalise with Client, Project Charter, milestones and timelines
• Identify project risks and prepare a risk mitigation plan
• Liaise with internal (e.g. Delivery, Networks, Procurement, Finance, Legal, etc.) and external (Suppliers, Contractors etc.) stakeholders to ensure completion of the tasks as per Project plan
• Intervene for project related issues and resolve them as soon as possible; timely escalate complex issues to the Enterprise Chief or Steercom, if required
• Continuously monitor project performance in terms of Cost, Quality and time; take corrective action in case of any deviations
• Prepare Project status report to communicate the progress of the projects, decision points, challenges faced and deviation (if any) to the internal stakeholders and the Client
• Conduct regular SteerCom reviews to share Project progress and discuss risks, challenges etc.
• Prepare project closure communications to be shared with various stakeholders
• Create and maintain comprehensive project repository to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured
• Provide timely resolution to all customers’ queries and ensure seamless support to customers during the entire phase of project implementation
• Keep abreast of markets and competition in the Enterprise business and share insights on evolving Client requirements with the Sales & Pre-Sales
• Undertake execution of any project/ initiative for the department and organization as identified from time-to-time based on business needs.
People
• Take ownership for attending the trainings as per the plan
• Take ownership for completing PMS process, employee engagement surveys in time.
• Continuously share the knowledge and understanding of the telecom industry and business trends.
Skills
Profile
- Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering, Business Management or IT.
- 5-7 years’ experience in project management in Telecom or a high-tech product environment or equivalent in management consulting.
- Understanding of the customer segments (Financial, Government, LME, SME, VIP or Residential)
- Project Management qualification (ACP, or PMP)
- Experience in handling large project teams that include other project managers, Specialists, administrative support and third-party vendors
- Experience with a broad range of telecommunications technologies and products or in other tech field.
