Job Description

Job Objective

Responsible for management and control of all Batelco digital subsidiary marketing, events and branding streams. Ensuring alignment and effective controls with Subsidiary executive management. Design and monitor implementation of various digital marketing & Social media programs to meet Batelco digital subsidiary needs.
Maintain and expand Batelco digital subsidiary presence across social media platforms. Establish and monitor portfolio strategic objectives. Establish with Digital subsidiary Social & marketing communication strategy for products and services and oversee execution. Establish and oversee all metrics for tracking and monitoring brand and app performance. To collaborate with marketing teams & digital activation teams to oversee audience-centric measurement & reporting.

Responsibilities

Strategic

• Identify strategic initiatives for Batelco digital subsidiaries marketing, branding and events and contribute to the overall strategic initiatives for the Marketing function, aligned to the Batelco Subsidiary Strategy
• Set marketing and brand strategies across Batelco digital subsidiaries, to ensure strong growth in ROI and effective management of KPIs
• Work closely with Batelco Marketing Head and subsidiary CEOs to align on all online and offline marketing campaigns in line with strategic objectives.
• Lead Batelco Subsidiaries in preparing the strategy and the strategic initiatives for online and offline marketing and branding , aligned to the Marketing Strategy
• Change management, including implementation of new marketing technology rollouts
• Overseeing marketing intelligence and providing actionable insight to clients or internal stakeholders
• Serving as super-user and product evangelist for a variety of digital tools
• Responsible for ensuring analytics and optimization tools are appropriately integrated with marketing technologies.

Financial

• Responsible for ensuring all marketing plans across Batelco Digital Subsidiary companies are budgeted adequately and are executed in line with the budget.
• Work with digital subsidiary executive management and relevant staff to ensure performance on online and offline media channels of campaigns are on track to meet department objectives, by assigning correct media budgets and the expected KPI’s of the same.
• Monitor and track adherence to the approved budget for campaigns and branding activities and highlight deviations.

Operational

• Execute, manage, and continuously optimize all online and offline digital marketing campaigns.
• Create and drive social media campaign strategy to increase social media engagement and Batelco digital subsidiary presence.
• Develop engagement plans focused on turning prospects into customers and customers into advocates.
• Manage, develop, and execute marketing and branding campaigns/activities. Design creative brief (in-house/ agency) based on brief received from business teams and develop concept proposal and provide inputs on marketing content for campaign/activity. Create a plan to develop content (digital content, TVC, advertisement, copywriting, videos etc.) and manage content creation and deadlines for the launch of the campaign. Generate and analyse reports on the performance of the campaign.

• Establish a content calendar, collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop content that nurtures all parts of the business.
• Publish media content, analyse and generate reports (for online media channels - e.g. Instagram etc.) to increase engagement and ROI
• Manage Batelco subsidiary social media channels. Manage setting up of Social Media accounts and configuration of security settings (for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc.)
• Manage annual marketing and branding budget for Batelco digital subsidiaries . Coordinate execution, track contractual performance and initiate payments to partners.
• Plan, execute and manage giveaways and competitions.
• Liaise with agency for video and content creations. Manage agency relationships.
• Manage social media influencer relationships.
• Implement procedures and controls at each Marketing process, such that all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost effective service to internal customers.
• Ensure continuous improvement of policies, processes, systems / structural programs, and procedures covering all individual functional activities
• Provide relevant information to address employee queries related to Marketing.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in own work area / sub-function / function and provide guidance to team / peers and support in the achievement of operational targets
• Undertake initiatives to improve processes in assigned area of work
• Guide team / peers in meeting delivery timelines and performance expectations
• Ensure that team / peers adhere to company policies and legal regulations
• Manage launch campaigns for key projects. Handle logistics, coordination, execution and monitor deadlines. Generate and analyse reports on campaign performance
• Review visual identity management. Create brand visual guidelines (internal, external) and monitor Brand visual identity by performing regular visits to retail shops, workshops with agencies

People

• Take ownership for attending the trainings as per the plan
• Take ownership for completing PMS process, employee engagement surveys on time
• Continuously share the knowledge and understanding of the telecom industry and business trends.

Skills

Profile 1

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Sales and Marketing or Media communications from an internationally recognized University.
  • 10 years of media and Marketing experience, with a substantial proportion gained in a marketing and consulting
  •  >5 years of experience in marketing communications would be preferred
  • CIM or equivalent is preferable.

Profile 2

  • Master’s degree in Business/Sales and Marketing or Media communications from an internationally recognized University.
  • 10 years of media and Marketing experience, with a substantial proportion gained in a marketing and consulting
    >2 years of experience in marketing communications would be preferred.
