Compile the financial statements for the company and perform analysis to determine financial trends.
Bring value addition to the reporting process through improvements / streamlining in financial reporting and tax filing process and procedures across the Batelco.
المهارات
• Conduct detailed analysis to ascertain financial trends and gather insights on variances, to be shared with different stakeholders (SLT, BoD, CFO, ExCo, etc.)
• Perform consolidation and reporting of fiscal results for Batelco Bahrain and International entities for management and statutory financial reporting purposes.
• Act as the focal person for VAT and other tax filings in Bahrain and other International Holdco
• Consolidation of the monthly results as reported by each of the 20+ statutory entities and preparation of the Group and monthly consolidated management accounts (Hyperion Financial Management System (HFM))
• Preparation of quarterly, half yearly and annual accounts of the listed Batelco Entity (consolidated and stand-alone) to comply with IFRS and local statutory requirements
• Accounting and reporting for Holdco companies across the Group including maintaining their books of accounts or liaising with accounting service providers ( as applicable)
• Review of tax and regulatory filings for holding companies in foreign territories (e.g UK, Mauritius, Jersey)
• Perform VAT filing for Bahrain
• Act as focal point for dealing with all finance user related matters for financial recording system (SAP) and consolidation system (HFM), including coordination with IT and external advisors for bug fixing and improvements therein
• Liaising with external auditors for audit of quarterly, half yearly and annual audits
• Preparation of periodic/adhoc presentations for Board of Directors and its sub – committees
• Act as a “Subject Matter Expert” regarding IFRS application issues across Batelco and its international operations
• Act as a “Subject Matter Expert” regarding VAT related queries in Bahrain and tax questions for other international operations
• Coordinate with Batelco International entities across different regions to improve their financial reporting capability and processes and ensure that they are operating within the Batelco policies
• Ad hoc project work, including implementation of new IFRS’s, re-modelling Group Reporting formats and developing reporting benchmarks across the Group entities
• Perform month end reporting for financial statements
• Maintain mappings within systems (SAP & HFM) for financials and reports generated
• Collect inputs from Business units (on non-financial KPIs) and compile the financials pack for the month
• Ensure continuous improvement of policies, processes, systems / structural programs and procedures covering all functional activiti
• Identify training needs and nominate team members for training programs
• Ensure timely completion of PMR process for self and the team
• Continuously share the knowledge and understanding of the telecom industry and business trends
• Ensure optimum resource availability and provide recommendations on effective resource deployment (manpower, tools and equipment etc.)
• Ensure active participation in employee engagement surveys
